I have obtained a Ph.D. degree in Statistics at the Department of Statistics of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2008 under the guidance of Professor Ernesto San Martín and Professor Reinaldo Arellano-Valle, with the Thesis: “Skew-normal distributions: Identifiability, Reduction and Bayesian approach of shape mixtures”.

Also, I have completed an undergraduate program in Statistics and Computer Science at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (Lima—Perú). I worked for many years in several companies of Perú related with market and statistical research.

I have worked at the Department of Statistics of Universidad de Concepción as an Associate Professor for almost 10 years.

Now, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
