Current outreach activities

1. My main outreach activity is my work with the Chilean Mathematical Olympiad (organized by the Chilean Mathematical Society SOMACHI). Since 2008, I lead the Academic Committee, in charge of preparing and grading the tests. Also, we are in charge of selecting the students to be part of the chilean teams for the international competitions.

2. I am an Editor for the Revista del Profesor de Matemáticas. This is a mathematical journal addressed to secondary teachers and advanced students.

3. I am a member of the Jury for the prize Premio al talento Matemático Joven, organized annually by the Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile. This prize is awarded to an outstanding work by a young student related to a mathematical situation proposed by the Jury.

Past outreach activities

1. I participated in the creation of the Campeonato Escolar de Matemáticas in 2003. In 2008 I was the vice-director of the academic committee.

2. In 2009 I was in charge of the dissemination activities of the III Latin American Congress of Mathematicians, Santiago.

3. In 2011 I collaborated with the project Matemática, Un viaje entretenido, organized by the Faculty of Mathematics UC and the Santiago's subway Metro S.A.

4. Usually I lecture dissemination talks to secondary teachers and advanced students.

5. Between 2012 and 2013 I was the Academic Coordinator of the program Academias de Matemáticas, also organized by the Faculty of Mathematics UC. This program intends to install a working group around mathematics inside chilean schools.

6. Between 2011 and 2013 I was the Academic Coordinator of the Taller de Razonamiento Matemático. This is a program by the Faculty of Mathematics of the Catholic University of Chile, addressed to talented secondary students.
