BICOM Workshop on

Boundary Elements

June 16-17, 2005

Programme MAP (Accomondation / Lecture hall) Abstracts

  Aim of the Workshop

This workshop is intended to reflect the state-of-the-art of the foundations, methods, and algorithmic tools of the Boundary Element Method. Furthermore, it will bring together researchers in Boundary Element Methods for 1.5-days to share ideas and forge new relationships. The spectrum of the topics to be presented and discussed ranges from the mathematical analysis to their efficient numerical realizations as well as various applications.
  Workshop Topics

o Numerical Analysis of Boundary Element Methods
o Coupling with Finite Elements
o A Posteriori Error Control
o Adaptive BEM
o p- and hp-Version
o Fast Solvers
o Applications
  Sponsoring

The BICOM Workshop 2005 is sponsored by the London Mathematical Society and the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Brunel University.
  Support of Students

Graduate students are invited to apply for participating in the BICOM Workshop 2005. There is modest support for UK-based students from the London Mathematical Society for travel/lodging. Those persons requesting support should give reasons for attending the meeting and a budget for expenses. We expect to make a decision by May 9, 2005.
