About
I am an Associate Professor in the Facultad de Matemáticas at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My research interests are primarily in nonlinear PDE, geometric analysis, calculus of variations and pattern formation.
I obtained my PhD in mathematics at MIT under the supervision of David Jerison. Before coming to UC, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Arizona.
Research
Much of my work concerns free boundary problems — the structure, regularity and classification of one-phase free boundaries, and the behaviour of solutions under variational and topological constraints.
A complete list of articles and preprints, with journal and arXiv links, is on the publications page; current and past funded projects are listed under grants and awards.
